The Hayes Valley Neighborhood has replaced a freeway exit with a large boulevard going from Market Street all along Octavia Street to Hayes Street, right in the center of San Francisco. This boulevard is a full block wide and features sidewalk cafes reminescent of European style boulevards, boutiques and kiosks. Lovely flowers and over 250 trees have been planted along the promenade.
